Welcome
friends, present and past parishioners, alumni, and guests. St.
Hedwig Parish has served the Polish Catholic Community of
Detroit for over 100 years, and continues to serve both the
Polish and Hispanic community in Southwest Detroit.
To honor our past and to mark
the beginning of this new era at St. Hedwig, this website was
established in April 1999. The goal of our website is to share
our rich history and tradition with you here in 'cyberspace'.
Whether you are an active member, guest, or away from St.
Hedwig's, we hope that you will feel as though you were sitting
in one of the pews.

2012 Confirmation - Special Event!
Detroit Southwest Vicariate of
Catholic Churches are celebrating a special event on Friday
May 18th, 2012 at 7.00 pm at St. Hedwig Church, 3245
Junction St., Detroit, MI 48210. There are seven churches
are partaking in confirmations namely All Saints parish, Most
Holy Redeemer parish, Our Lady Queen of Angels parish, St.
Gabriel parish, St. Hedwig, St. Stephen / Mary Mother of the
church and Ste. Anne De Detroit.
On this day 302 candidates
will receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Bishop Donald F.
Hanchon will be the main celebrant and Bishop Arturo
Cepeda will be assisting him to do the confirmations. |
